Television...

Zack Smiter understood the power of television. How it strikes at emotion and not analysis and a preoccupation with razzle and dazzle. It was perfect for the so called war and terror. He pumped up the war imagery to have the country accept war for what was a criminal action.  The unwillingness to challenge authority was perfect for tv and it helped the nation conform to him and the oligarchy notions of what should be...

Under his rule journalism was terminated...with the education system defunct, there were very few readers and criticial ability was tossed out the window...the information the people got was the information he wanted them to get...no one wanted to spend the time having serious thoughts...that was for losers...he gave them cheap cell phones and sexy ringtones..
