the radio dream took a cue Bertold Brecht's Theater of the Alienation...instead of the aristolean concept of catharsis which encomposesd the viewer having total emotional identification with the subject which Brecht believed led to uncritical response and hence slavery to the system, the theater of alienation encouraged the viewer to be critical of the content...
