the radio dream took a cue Bertold Brecht's Theater of the Alienation...instead of the aristolean concept of catharsis which encomposesd the viewer having total emotional identification with the subject which Brecht believed led to uncritical response and hence slavery to the system, the theater of alienation encouraged the viewer to be critical of the content...

interesting but unless they can identify with the charactors emotionally they'll shut down or reject it completely... people these days don't want to have to think, love and be they want formula... just my perception and observation... but I, for one, don't care I can deal with thinking critically about content and I like pure american cheese too...in other words I dig the radio dream...
